Post : LEGAL ADVISOR: LITIGATION AND CORPORATE LEGAL SERVICES
Salary : R473 800 per annum

Purpose of the job
To provide support and opinions on litigation and corporate legal services to the NCC Key responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in providing legal support to the NCC by drafting of legal documents, MOU’s, and other International Agreements,
draft, review and vetting of contracts and agreements.
1.1 Assist in drafting legal documents, MOU’s,
1.2 Draft commercial and international agreements, furnishing legal opinion and advise on various areas of the law,

1.4 Review Legislation, developing national - Provide advice and legal opinion to the NCC on a broad range of legal and regulatory issues.
2.1 Provide advice to the NCC on corporate governance matters, drafting policy on financial controls, assists in all matters with
the interpretation of legislation.
2.2 Report non-compliance with legislation such as the Public Finance Management Act and all Treasury Regulations.
2.3 Assist in conducting presentations on the Act and Regulations to law enforcement agencies - Assist in handling appeals/reviews of tribunal matters; liaise with external counsel, on legal and litigation matters.
3.1 Assist in briefing attorneys and Counsel,
3.2 Process all appeals and reviews on any decision n of the NCC.
3.3 Brief attorneys and counsel on all appeal and review matters
3.4 Arrange and attend consultations with attorneys and counsel
3.5 Recommend in the appointment attorneys and counsel on review and appeal matters - Assist in providing support to the NCC on compliance with labour relations, draft and standardise employment
contracts, develop and review labour relations policies, investigate grievances
4.1 Conduct research and assist in the drafting of employment contracts
4.2 Research and recommend areas of need for development
4.3 Assist in the investigation of grievances and represent the employer in disciplinary hearings
4.4 Assist in giving general legal advice to HR on labour law processes. - Stakeholder management
5.1 Liaise with all stakeholders to strengthen relationships - Provide assistance in the review of protocols and standards
6.1 Assist in the review and make recommendations to the tribunal on effective processes and protocol to ensure proper
administration of the act
6.2 Develop mechanisms to monitor the impact on the implementation of processes and protocols - Risk Management
7.1 Identify risk areas, and implement mechanisms and processes to mitigate possible risks
7.2 Report monthly on progress made with risk mitigation
7.3. Handle cases as per relevant policy directives and best practices
Minimum Qualifications: National Diploma /B Degree in Law or Equivalent Qualification, Matric and EB Driver’s Licence. Admission as an Attorney/ Advocate
Minimum Experience : 3 years legal experience in the private or public sector.
Training: Computer Literacy: MS Office Package, Knowledge of Regulatory Framework,
and Project Management
