NCC 4/03/2021 Legal Advisor: Prosecutions

Salary: R473 800 per annum (excluding benefits)

Purpose of the job:

•To conduct prosecutions on behalf of the National Consumer Commission.
Key Responsibilities: •Provide assistance in prosecution of all contraventions of the Act in the Tribunal •Assess and prepare cases for the Consumer Tribunal •Represent the NCC at the Consumer Tribunal and other court hearings •Provide assistance in the development and maintenance of a database of tribunal decisions/orders •Stakeholder Management •Provide assistance in the review of protocols and standards.


Minimum Qualifications:

A National diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Law or equivalent qualification •A valid Code EB driver’s licence •Admission as an Attorney/Advocate.


Minimum Experience:

•3 years Legal Administrative experience in the Private or Public Sector.


Minimum Training:

•Computer literacy (MS Office Package) •Project management and knowledge of the Regulatory Framework.
