The National Consumer Commission (NCC) informs consumers about the product recall of Domestos Lemon and Summer Fresh 750ml, as informed by Unilever South Africa. The affected products were manufactured between August and September 2025.

According to Unilever, some bottles may have a pinhole defect at the bottom, which can cause leakage when pressure is applied. This may result in product spillage and potential skin or surface contact. The suppliers have begun removing affected stock from stores and warehouses and are collaborating with their packaging supplier to prevent the defect from recurring.

While the stock might be with the retailers only, there is a high possibility that the product might have been distributed for trade. Consumers who might have the affected product recall are urged to return the product to their point of purchase for a full refund.
