Product safety recall – 40 AUDI E-TRON GT Vehicles

The National Consumer Commission (NCC) informs consumers that Audi South Africa (Audi SA), a division of Volkswagen Group Africa (Pty) Ltd, is recalling 40 (forty) Audi e-tron GT vehicles. The recall affects certain vehicles that were sold nationally from 2 November 2021 to 20 March 2026.

Audi SA informed the NCC that the recall is due to a bolted connection between the input rod on the brake pedal and the operating rod on the brake servo that may come loose. If the connection becomes completely detached, braking will only be possible using the controlled emergency braking function.

Owners of the affected vehicles are urged to take this recall seriously and arrange for the necessary inspection and repair at their nearest authorised Audi SA dealerships. All corrective work relating to this recall will be carried out at no cost to the consumer.

Consumers who have questions or enquiries about this recall are encouraged to contact ProductRecall@thencc.org.za.
