Product safety recall – 543 Suzuki Grand Vitara vehicles

The National Consumer Commission (NCC) notifies consumers that Suzuki Auto South Africa Motors (Pty) Ltd is recalling certain Suzuki Grand Vitara vehicles made available for sale through Suzuki dealerships nationwide from May 2025. The recall affects five hundred and forty-three (543) vehicles.

According to the manufacturer, the low fuel warning light may not turn on as the fuel level decreases. The driver may therefore not be alerted that the fuel level is low, which could result in the vehicle running out of fuel, causing the engine to stall and preventing it from starting

Consumers who own the affected vehicles are urged to take their vehicles to their nearest authorised Suzuki dealership for a fuel gauge inspection. Any corrective work will be performed at no cost.
