The National Consumer Commission (NCC) notifies consumers about a product recall of Fouganza Horse Riding Helmets, as notified by Decathlon. The recall applies to the Black (Model Code: 8844101), Green (Model Code: 8644620), Lavender (Model Code: 8644618), and Pink (Model Code: 8644619) helmets. This units were sold in Gauteng and Western Cape, from 2 October 2025 to 2 June 2026

According to the supplier, the strap running in front of the ear may slide backward, which could affect the optimal hold of the helmet on the head and create a risk for the user. This creates a risk for the user because head protection is no longer fully guaranteed in the event of a fall or impact.

Owners of the recalled helmets are advised to stop using the helmet immediately and return it to their nearest Decathlon store for a full refund.
