Post : Senior Legal Advisor: Prosecutions
Salary : R1,057,326.00 per annum, (all inclusive remuneration package)
Center : Groenkloof
Purpose of the job:
To conduct prosecutions on behalf of the National Consumer Commission.
Key responsibilities:
• Prosecution of contravention of the Consumer Protection Act in the Consumer
Tribunal.
• Assess and prepare cases for the Consumer Tribunal.
• Represent the NCC at the Consumer Tribunal and other court hearings.
• Develop and maintain database of Consumer Tribunal decisions
• Monitor and implement the Consumer Tribunal decisions.
• Stakeholder management.
Minimum Qualifications:
LLB Degree or Equivalent qualifications and EB driver’s licence.
Minimum Experience : 6 years management experience in legal environment
Training: Computer Literacy, ( MS Office Package) Project Management and
knowledge of Legislation and Regulatory Framework.
• The successful candidate will be subjected to personnel suitability checks
(criminal record, qualification checks and employment reference checks)
• Selection panel will recommend candidates to attend a generic managerial
competency-based assessments.
